"RED BALL JETT ORGAN SPEAKER ADD-ON" painted by Darth Daddy

With many collectors now receiving their Jabba Sail Barges, we thought it would be a good time to let you all know about a way to enhance the Nalargon instrument for your Max Rebo action figure with this cool 3-D printed accessory. For some reason, Hasbro left the speaker to Max Rebo's instrument off when it was released as a toy in stores. Star Wars customizer IzzyMel45, designed a 3-D printed version of the speaker that can be purchased on Shapeways and shipped to your home. We highly recommend purchasing one if you feel your Jabba display looks naked without it. Click the link below to order!

"Jabba's Palace Modular Playset Add-Ons" by localgotal

Concept by localgotal

At the 2019 New York Toy Fair, Hasbro made some stunning toy release announcements related to Jabba's appearance in Return of the Jedi. We learned that Star Wars fans will have an opportunity to add some amazing pieces to their 3.75" collections to accompany HasLab's release of the Jabba's Sail Barge. While whispers were going around in the collecting community that we might see new versions of the Skiff or a Skiff Guard 3-pack at the event, the real surprise of the day was the announcement of a diorama piece from Jabba's Palace of his trophy wall.  Immediately after its announcement, everyone started asking if more of these sets would be released that would complete the rest of Jabba's Palace. One fan immediately set out to give us an idea of what these other sets could potentially look like, and his work really grabbed our attention. The accompanying action figures he showcased are the perfect additions to these sets that we'd love to see included in the box on Vintage cardbacks.

Star Wars customizer localgotal does not physically create these playsets or figures with plastic.  Instead he makes a digital custom.

What is a digital custom you ask?  Let's hear a description from localgotal himself.

"By "digital custom" I mean that I've taken various images of other figures from across the web and in Photoshop pieced them together to create an image." - localgotal

We featured the work of localgotal in one of our previous posts and his imagery can best be described as a Star Wars collector's wish list of toys that they'd like to see released in the near future.  If Hasbro wants to know what collectors would like to see one day, check out Yakface.com presents...Concept Series: Action Figure Customs by localgotal.  We can't pick a better voice to speak on our behalf as collectors.  What he has put on display is exactly what I I'd like to see announced when Hasbro has more reveals at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago this April. His suggestions are a love letter to Hasbro spilling forth all our wishes and desires.

This artist definitely brings the Photoshop skills, localgotal has such great eye and his representations are spot on.  We really wish this stuff was reality, and we'd be able to bring it all home. These two Jabba diorama sets are exactly what I want to see released in time for the holidays. Especially that Throne room set. We wouldn't change a thing!

"Imperial AT-Hauler" by thewriteguy - NOW COMPLETE!!!

We are pleased to announce that Howard Wen aka thewriteguy has completed his Imperial AT Hauler from Solo: A Star Wars Story. It's made from cardboard, paperboard, wood coffee stirrers, toothpicks, and clear plastic sheet. It's designed to be a Hasbro-style toy: It features a claw mechanism to grab, hold, and release Hasbro's Imperial AT-DT walker toy. The completed piece is just phenomenal and we had to share pictures of his completed project. Like thewriteguy's 1:18 scale U-wing, he has released the templates and building plan photos for this AT Hauler for FREE!

3-D PRINTED 3.75" SCALE STAR WARS DROIDS

Rebelscum forum member Darkstryder has been teaching himself to 3D model by designing and printing 3.75" Star Wars droid action figures that have never been released in stores. He posts most of his models on Thingiverse under the username Isotelus. The photo above are just some of the figures he has posted so far. He has had a pretty positive reception so far, and he's taking design requests!

Are you as excited as we are? Well if not, then take into consideration that the figures in the photo are his designs from only the last two weeks. The possibilities are endless, and from what it looks like from where we're standing, plentiful. The designs printing time is only about 2 hours per droid.

Oh, and did we mention that the models are available to download for FREE?!!!

(If anybody wants to volunteer to print out a few droids for us, please contact us at customsforthekid@gmail.com)

BAD BATCH CUSTOMS and CUSTOMS FOR THE KID CUSTOM COLLABORATION "Z-95 HEADHUNTER with PHASE II CLONE PILOT HAWK"

"Z-95 Headhunter" by Bad Batch Customs

When Bad Batch Customs started this project, we had no idea we would eventually be working on it ourselves. It all started when Bad Batch finished their LAAT-C. As soon as they wrapped the project, they asked for some input on what to tackle next.  Dad chimed in that if you are going to make a Clone Wars vehicle it had to be the vehicle we all begged Hasbro for, but never received...the Z-95 Headhunter. Bad Batch didn't back down from the challenge and got to work. Their fearlessness is admirable. Like all their previous projects, we got to watch the build as it progressed from its earliest stages; straight through to its completion. We watched the LED lights get installed, and the magnets get attached to the landing gear. We observed panels being cut from plastic Chinese food containers, and some Bondo applied to smooth out the lines. We just gazed on as we watched this labor of love take shape.

"PHASE II CLONE PILOT - HAWK" created by Elias of "Customs for the Kid"

When the project was nearing completion, Bad Batch asked me if I could make a "Clone Pilot Hawk" to man the ship's controls and sit in its cockpit. I got right to work and had the figure completed 24 hours later. We shipped Hawk off in the mail right away to his final resting place at the home of Bad Batch Customs.  We just love how this project turned out, and we can't wait for you to lay your eyes on it. It was so much fun to be a part of. So, without further ado, hit that play button on the video below and take in all the eye candy!
