CUSTOMIZER SPOTLIGHT #58: "REVENGE OF THE SITH" OBI-WAN KENOBI HEAD by Spartan 118 Customs

This figure was made with a painted head that we purchased from the online store of Spartan 118 Customs. He has a lot of fantastic painted heads to choose from. When we saw his Episode III Obi-Wan Kenobi head, we knew it was time to swap the head out on our Revenge Of The Sith action figure. We had to modify the original figure by reducing the ball joint and then we also needed to increase the size of the hole in the head itself before attaching it, but we love the results. This figure looks absolutely fantastic now.

THE CLONE WARS "WALKABOUT - AHSOKA TANO" created by Elias of "Customs for the Kid"

This project was created on commission for a client, and when I received the order, I couldn't have been more excited to make something new. This specific rendition of Ahsoka depicts her sporting her mechanic jumpsuit during her walkabout with the Martez sisters. This one will definitely hurt to send away since I still don't have one for my own collection. I'll have to remedy that very soon, so be sure to keep an eye out for her.

Ahsoka Tano, no longer part of the Jedi Order is now totally alone. When we are introduced to Ahsoka's new life, we find her literally falling out of the sky on Coruscant in a full-blown crash landing onto the lower level 1313 due to a malfunctioning speeder bike. Ahsoka's misfortune leads to meeting the Martez sisters who provide the former Jedi with a fresh perspective on the Order at a time when she’s still grappling with her own wounded view of the peacekeepers of the galaxy. We loved the jumpsuit Ahsoka wore on this grand adventure that led to taking out Spice Lords and crossing paths with Bo Katan and Maul.

For the build of the figure, I used the upper arms, elbows, torso and legs of a "Clone Wars" Legacy Collection Adventure Padmé, the forearms of a The Black Series Ahsoka Tano, and the head of the Shadow of the Dark Side Scuba Ahsoka. First we sanded off the vest of the torso of the Padme with a Dremel before starting the sculpt. The jumpsuit details and control panel on the left glove were fully sculpted, as well as her elongated Lekku and Montrals. After my sculpt dried, I just painted the figure based off of images from the episode, and then sealed it to protect my paint application.

ROGUE ONE "CASSIAN ANDOR - IMPERIAL DISGUISE" created by Darth Daddy

Producing this action figure only required a quick head swap, and a small modification to the rank insignia.  If you are looking for a fast custom of a highly desired figure, than this one is for you.  The body is from a Legacy Collection - Captain Lorth Needa, the hat was from the Comic Pack - Luke Skywalker, and the head was from The Black Series - Cassian Andor action figure.  Once you reduce the rank insignia badge with an X-acto knife and paint the last square blue, all you have to do is swap the head out. My Needa was missing his hat so I used the one from the Luke.  Not sure if Needa's hat fits well on the Cassian Andor head so you may have to experiment at home with that one.  If you are having trouble making it fit, we can say for sure that the Luke's does.
